Network Marketing: An overview

Network marketing is not a pyramid structure; rather it is a form of marketing method with different levels. The Basic level of network marketing is to start as a direct sales person, who promotes products or services to public. They also have to recruit other individuals to their teams and make them do the same marketing service. The role of a new networking person is not only to look after the direct sales but also to recruit new people into the team and train them to succeed in the networking business as well. Duplication is key to success in network marketing.

It is possible to succeed in the business only if you can have success at both recruitment and sales. Also as a sales person you get regular commission from the sales you do and the amount of commission varies from company to company, also it depends upon the products you sell. At the same time you also get commission from the sales of the people you have recruited.

Many people focus only on recruiting in order to get a percentage of commission from the new recruits. But both sales and recruiting skills are needed in order to be successful over the long term.
